I know I’m not the only person wondering when January is going to end. My Twitter timeline is full of tweets asking exactly why this month is taking so long. I think it’s because we all got so crazy excited for the New Year, but those vibes just disappeared by 2nd January, and now we’re left with the other twenty-nine days to deal with (and an extra-long wait for pay day).
One thing I’m really looking forward to this year, is playing about with my style a little bit more. Just trying something new, taking fashion risks and finding new inspirations. Obviously, my one true style icon will always be Blake Lively, I will forever wish I could raid her closet. So naturally, I created a moodboard/wishlist full of my favourite images and products. Enjoy!
As I mentioned, I’m kind of obsessed with Blake Lively. I’ve loved her since she graced my ITV2 screen with the magic that is Gossip Girl. Her style on the show could be considered dated now, but there are still some items I’d be fortunate to have in my closet.
We’re still in winter. I’m trying to remain positive, but in all honestly I’m done with being cold now. I miss the sunshine. Still, I wanted to include a couple of items that inspired by this chilly time of year and the pretty scenes it brings.
My love for plants and flowers is growing more and more in 2018, and I’m 100% here for it. I don’t know where it’s coming from, but I have this huge desire to fill my home with plants and buy flowers every time I see them. They’re just so pretty!
There are so many items I’m loving on the high street at the moment. Whether its dresses from River Island, or shoes from ASOS – my bank account is going to hate me. Of course, I had to include a collection of my favourites!
When it comes to trends, new styles or a unique look, bloggers are my go-to. Today I’m taking inspo from: Not Jess Fashion, Fashion Jackson, The Brandista Guide, Samantha Maria, Gal Meets Glam, 9 to 5 Chic, Beauticurve and Kyrzayda Rodriguez!
Whenever I want a new item I have spotted online, I search it on Pinterest first. Just to see how it’s styled, what images are most popular and what colours are available. Pinterest is my favourite search engine to use because it introduces you to so many new ideas – sadly I can never find the original source, so it’s down to some research for the clothing!
What’s your favourite item?
