I have a Spotify playlist that’s specifically for playing at full volume, so loud that the windows feel like they’re going to shatter. Sometimes you just need some loud music and fresh air. Living in Yorkshire, there’s plenty of country roads to safely drive around and listen to loud music without disturbing anyone. Doing that in a residential area is just rude – don’t do that.
But, in the middle of nowhere, you can pretty much listen to anything you want, as loud as you want, without disturbing anyone – and that’s what I did today. This time, I brought my camera with me, just because the winter sun makes everything look that much prettier, it was a great day to explore some new places.
I took a drive through my own village in West Yorkshire, and then to a few rural places in Leeds like Otley, Ilkley and Harewood.
Going on drives has always been a ‘thing‘ in my family. My mum used to treat my sister and I by taking us on drives, or we’d take the long way home just for a bit of adventure. It’s the little things that make me happy!
