Florals are easily my favourite print. Just anything plant based always makes a pretty pattern. I’m partial to stripes and geometric but florals will always win. Maybe it’s because I’m a nature fan, but seeing any sort of greenery or flowers in a pattern means there’s a good chance I’m buying the product.
I think one of the reasons I adore a nature-inspired pattern so much is because it never really dates. You don’t really hear of people getting sick of seeing natural beauty do you? I’ve never seen a flower or a plant and thought “ugh I’ve seen that one before”, usually it’s just “wow that’s pretty”. There are some vintage floral pieces that are even more appreciated now than when they were originally designed.
Today’s cami isn’t quite a vintage, but I have owned it for what feels like forever. It’s one of those “holiday” tops that you buy at a supermarket or local shop with no intention to wear other than while on the beach. You’re not that upset if you leave it at the hotel. Although that was the intention (and my shopping habits have improved), it came home with me and I still like to wear it when the sun is shining. Sometimes I find myself at a loss when it comes to tops – I just can’t find the right top for the right occasion. I have plenty of jeans but I just need tops. This is one of those simple strappy vests that you can throw on and feel put-together wearing. Add a cardigan and you’re done.
But what about the new? Say hello to my latest phone cases from CaseApp. It’s no secret that I’m a CaseApp fan, so I was so excited to feature their personalised phone cases in today’s spring-related post. All it took was one scroll through the Boccaccini Meadows collection and I knew which cases I wanted. The collection takes inspiration from nature which couldn’t describe me better.
I feel like there was a huge trend in loving cacti and succulents, suddenly everyone had a cactus wallpaper and cacti on their t-shirts – myself included. They were all over Pinterest. I can’t lie, I have a cactus print in my room. But I’ve never considered including the print on a phone case.
I usually always stick to a floral phone case, and while I think anything nature-inspired comes under that umbrella, I love the cutesy patterns with the Meadows collection. I find myself showing my phone off a little more than I should.
When it comes to floral prints and nature-inspired patterns, I just can’t help myself. The outdoors and the amazing views the earth offers just make me so happy, it was about time I started to embrace them more.
Any excuse to buy a new floral dress next week.
